Your ROSSO Team

Even though what we do here may seem relatively small and unhurried, it takes many hard-working and passionate hands to ensure that our guests can enjoy their vacation days to the fullest and with every comfort. Despite its beauty, a house like ours would only be an empty shell without the people who fill it with life and contribute to making it what it is. So we thought we'd introduce them, even if, with the exception of Pippa of course, they tend to shy away from the big stage.

Christian

Christian is the founder and host at the ROSSO, evil tongues also call him “The Herbergsvadder”. He is mostly communicative when it comes to discussing booking requests and finding free slots. He also tries to keep the place running, which he probably wouldn't be able to do if it weren't for the others. He also has to take care of some business in Hamburg's digital sector from his computer and his head is usually so full of all kinds of ideas that he sometimes forgets to see the wood for the trees. Blessed with two left hands from birth, he can occasionally be admired in his role as janitor, which he performs with passion and motivation. Occasional failure not excluded. Fortunately, he knows local craftsmen who then take over. And if you're looking for someone to nerd out over coffee, an ice-bath buddy or need a few culinary tips in the Allgäu region, he's always happy to help.

Cornelia

Conny, as some people call her, has been at ROSSO since 2022 and if you were to describe her as the good soul of the house, that would probably be an understatement. With almost boundless energy, tireless commitment and an infectious good mood, she runs the place and simply makes sure everything runs smoothly. As Christian's third brain, she knows everything he has forgotten and takes care of it even before he remembers it. Sometimes so quickly that everyone loses sight and hearing. She is also the mother of a small herd of cute alpacas and llamas (which she is happy to introduce to anyone who is interested) and offers health advice.

Ingo

Shortly after starting ROSSO here in the neighborhood, Ingo initially came up with the idea of putting his herd of goats in the garden. Unfortunately, this wasn't really feasible, considering that the animals are predators of most of the fruit trees and plants on the property. But we made friends and since then, Ingo has been an indispensable part of the ROSSO as an all-rounder. He has already appeared as a stand-in host, sauna repairer, cat tamer and roofer and there is virtually no role in which he cannot be imagined. His main job is working in a residential group for people with disabilities and he also offers wonderful walks with his goats.

Pippa

The now famous farm cat from our social media accounts is the only team member who literally guards the house and farm 24/7. In addition to her extremely important role as a mouse hunter in an old building in the countryside, she does this job with great passion. If guests feel they are being followed, they may well be right. To describe this cat as a stalker would probably be mean, as she cannot defend herself verbally, so the terms "social" and "extremely devoted to people" are probably more appropriate. Pippa loves to be stroked on the head and neck and to be cuddled. Her claws are only extended in emergencies. She is only a little afraid of clumsy children and chasing dogs. Our regulars were somewhat confused: yes, it's still the same cat. But she weighs at least twice as much in winter as she does in summer.
